Verified ReviewerFraud, deceptive business practices
Bought a car in May 2021:
- switched finance mgrs on us after we'd agreed to a sales price. (New price was $3k higher)
- included an additional purchase of a "theft warranty" even though paperwork says purchase not required (+$535).
Theft is covered by personal insurance This is fraud!
- offered incentives of $250 gift card for test drive (completed) and another $250 gift card for purchase (completed) Gift cards are a collection of small denomination $25-$50 gift cards for use only at a group of online, overpriced, low inventory stores that have ALL gone out of business. Cards say valid through 2022 but the $500 incentives are worthless!}

Deceiving and liars
CJ from Ron Carter Hyundai, yes I did call THIS person out by name! I originally co-signed for a vehicle for my cousin, cool np right?
Yeah, NO! Everything was cool for about a week! I sent any and everything that this man asked for and then some. A week after she gets the vehicle, he's texting me stating that he needs my paystubs and info again!
NO sir! He deceived my cousin into believing that if she came in to sign some paperwork that her carnote could be lowered, only to tell her that all the info that he received was FAKE! Not only do I work but I work 2, that's right, TWO jobs!! He was refusing to give her any money back that she put into the vehicle (down payment and any extra money that was put into it.
It's a shame that you have to threaten someone with reporting them to the BBB and their corporate office to get your money back! Now he's refusing to give her back the last bit of her money! Yes I will still be reporting this business and him to the BBB and to the corporate office.
Plus I'm still getting things popping up on my credit. Which I feel like he's illegally using my info for something into
User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, NO MATTER HOW GOOD OF A DEAL THEY TRY TO GIVE YOU! IT'S LIES!
Wouldn't give my keys to my car.
Went to Ron Carter dealership yesterday. Your approved for 25,000 with 0 down.
Went there and they were playing let's make a deal. I asked for my car keys over and over.
They wouldn't give me them after asking 8 time finally gave them to me. The sales person was so pushy, I will never go there again!
User's recommendation: Don't shop at Ron Carter Hyundai

Bought a suv in Oct had issues on the way home was told they would be taken care of. Took it in when the parts came in Nov.11.
The suv is still there was told several times it was ready then told it's not ready. Have emailed sales person. Customer service. used car manager with no response from any of them.
I've already made payments.
This is very unprofessional.
Seems like my last recourse is a lawyer

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE AT THIS DEALERSHIP
I puchased a vehicle 3 weeks ago and cannot get anyone to return my calls regarding a repair that needs to be made. They are dishonest and disrespectful. These people will not honor their word, will not return phone calls and will not provide good customer service...they only want to sell you a vehicle!

Bad Customer Service
I saw a 2020 Palisade online, inquired about it. I'm in military serving in Louisiana, which is 3 hours away.
Several advisors reach out to me giving me the impression the vehicle was at store. Since long distance I wanted to knock out much paperwork prior to getting to store, made plans to make 3 hour drive then was told vehicle not at store and would be getting it in 3 weeks. The sales guy said i needed to come in a sign paperwork to secure car, which I did. I left them my trade in a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali with two keys and FOBs.
They did give me a loaner vehicle, a new Hyundai Santa Fe. Well 2 weeks into having the vehicle and a week prior to my Palisade showing up, the sales guys called me and said the vehicle is here can you come and I was like, I'm on the way. (3 hour drive) I get to dealership and they tell me vehicle is not there and their allocations changed since a ship capsized a week ago in Georgia. Now says they won't get any until December/January.
So they gave me my keys and title back from Yukon, however missing a key a Fob.
The whole situation sound shady and now I'm trying to get them to get me another key fob they lost. We'll see how that goes.
"WE OWE"
I went to Ron Carter Hyundai on 07/18. It took over 4.5 hrs to test drive a vehicle and finalize a price.
It took over 3 hours to get out of financing. The dealership was to fix 3 things. I was able to get my car into shop on 07/29. They did give me a rental.
I can’t get callbacks from Scott Kimbrough (called 07/17, 07/18, 07/27, 08/06, 08/07). I can’t get callbacks from salesman (Carlos) or supervisor (Ceaser).
As of 08/08 *** my vehicle is still getting “fixed”. ***

Terrible experience with sales Dept
Terrible experience in leasing a car. Would not let my sister leave without leasing a car.
Held her 6 hours and would not give her keys to her car.
I went with her next day and financial person told me to shut up. He was not talking to me.
My sister almost had a stroke over this experience. We should have called the police
Service department is wonderful
False advertising
7-28-19 Went in on the basis of their advertisement of 1.00 dollar due at signing. When we got there and started talking to a salesperson.
Was told that we would need to come up with over 2500.00 dollars. How is this company still doing business with this kind of dishonesty.

Was told a car was 5k more once test drive started and paperwork started. they padded my income to qualify me for the note and when i brought up all my concerns its like i had no voice.
I am a sr. on fixed income
BEWARE
This is a shady dealership I called them to talk price on a car, they said they don't normally talk money on the phone but it being the end of the month they would. The salesman and I agreed to a drive out price and said he would honor it.
He gave me his name which was Edward, and to come and see him. When I arrived at the dealership he was no where to be found. They sent me to different sales men which were rude, then they brought out a loaner car trying to pass as a new one and wanted more than the what we agreed on.
I totally just walked out on them. I hope this help out.....
Do not waste your time, unless you want your time wasted
Old school unprofessional high-pressure sales tactics. Trying to get you to sign “I will buy for XXX”, let me sweat talk my manager, etc.
Ran my credit after I told them it was not authorized. Added $2000 to the advertised price. Seriously? Who tries that?
Get with the times. We loved the vehicle but walked away due to these business practices.

Verified ReviewerWebsite Full OF Lies Discriminates against Senior's
I wanted to get a newer vehicle than I had and wanted to use 2008 Nissan as a trade in down payment. The only reason I even bothered with Ron Carter is because their website claims they have second chance financing.
They also have a first time buyers program and they have in house financing for those who cannot qualify for bank financing. They have you fill out a short finance form with just your name and social security number. Then I got a email saying your pre approved here is what you need to bring in. I waned to make sure that I was not going there for nothing and sit for hours only to be turned down.
So I called the person who send me the pre approval even sent a code to bring with me. I told him my age and that my income was social security I got a ( CAN I CALL YOU BACK?) and never received another phone call from them. I am 67 years old and I feel I have been discriminated against. What else could it be.
?
I was approved twice and was told to come in. The short finance form only asks you for your name and social security number information

I was deeply hurt and embarrassed
I went in to get a car all information was false that they had on me. I got upset and was told out load in front of everyone not to use my cancer as an excuse.
It really hurt me deeply. I was told one thing on the phine but get there it was another case. I drive almost an hour and I received gift cards that I could not use. ABNER called but did not call back I left mrssages with Scott and I even talked to Logan and Russell drom Alvin and no one would help.
Russell told me banks dont help if you drive for uber or lyft. He also said I would have yo have 1000 down to get inhouse financing with them.
I was told that I didnt have to pay nothing down over the phone but when I get to Clearlake location it was very different. I plan to go public with this especially being diagnosed wirh breast Cancer and getting no gelp like I was told over the phone...Dicuments shows all fake informayion about me
Poor dealership
Poor dealership practices ...bait and show you bad shape used vehicle after discussion on phone before driving 100 miles to look at....reviews on other places i wrote arent published on thier site...this is like most chain car sellers are not to help you but to sell cars and get you in and out with whatever way the can....this place is prime example of get the sell no matter what....look at the glass in the area where salesman make thier deals....its a compition and quota board for them....it is literally writen on the glass in marker for thier sales over each other....bunch of people working on making money off you for *** cars ..
Waste of Time and Fake Promises
i was contacted by Eduardo stating i was approved for a first time buyer, no down payment approval. He contacted me for 2 weeks straight.
When i finally went to the dealership, he sent Felipe to me and my husband. My husband end up getting approved but needed a "sponsor". Paul end up coming to speak with us. he informed us if we can get a sponsor, we are guaranteed a car plus 500.00 gift card for the sponsor and 250.00 give card for self..
WHICH ALL WAS LIESSSSSSSS... all they did was gave fake promises and false information.
i asked numerous of times before i made the drive from Katy to the dealership, is the information their providing is accurate.
Eduardo, Felipe, and Paul get 5 ***** for excellence in providing bogus information and accurate lies. Still wasn't contacted regarding my gift cards after people credit was ran for no reason
